Every Sunday in school term time, during the service, at Salt Auditorium.

Salt Youth is for our Year 7’s through to Year 13’s! At Salt Youth our heart is to provide a community of care for our young people, a place where they can be deeply formed in the ways of Jesus and be confident to live their life on mission wherever they are.

We have Pastor Stephen & Ash Seagar as oversight for Youth. Stephen is a pastor in our Assemblies of God movement. He has completed a Diploma in Christian Ministries and has started a Bachelor of Counselling through BTI. He carries God’s heart for people and loves to mentor and invest into the lives of young people. Ash is a social worker in our city. She has grown up in Salt since she was a baby! She has a sharp prophetic edge, is full of wisdom and uses her story to champion others.

Dani Humphries and Jerry Fryer are also part of the Youth team. Dani is an accountant and has been involved in youth work for many years within Salt. She is an encourager and loves to disciple and walk alongside those that God brings across her path. Jerry is a youth worker at Te Aroha Noa. With his passion for fitness and sport, and his fun nature - young people love Jerry! He is kind and lives life on mission wherever he finds himself. Lately he has been a great light to many young men in his rugby team and has invited them into a relationship with Jesus.

When Youth is on, encourage your young person to engage in worship in the main auditorium. After worship, the team will be waiting in the foyer to head over to the staffroom at Salt HQ, then bring them back to the Auditorium between 11:15 & 11:30am.

The last Sunday of every month is a ‘Serve Sunday’ where our young people will have the opportunity to serve in church and to develop skills in differing areas of church life (kids work, AV, videography, playing an instrument etc.). This is a beautiful connection back to their wider family!

So, encourage your young person to come along and join the fun as they are discipled in the ways of Jesus!
